 My name is Jingqiu Guan. I am from Chengdu, China. I came to the US for college after finishing high school in Chengdu. I studied Economics and French at Saint Mary’s College in Indiana. Currently, I am studying International Education Policy at Harvard Graduated of Education. I love arts, especially dance and music, and I also love traveling. My career aspiration is to use arts education as a tool for international development. 

Boston Ballet
It is a world renowned ballet company and is one of the best ballet companies in the United States. Although ballet is originated from Europe, it has sunk in American culture in many aspects. If you ask an American girl whether she studied ballet when she was little, most of them would say yes. If you get a chance, attend the show, Nutcracker, during Christmas time. It is a traditional Christmas ballet production, a beautiful fairy tale filled with festivity. Boston Ballet produces this show every year.

Boston Symphony Orchestra 
Boston has the highest concentration of musicians and music students in the United States, with many high-quality pieces of music being produced every day. Boston Symphony Orchestra is also among the best in the US and in the world. If you are in Boston, don’t miss out the music scene. I was at one of their performances this year. The conductor did not have music sheet in front of him when he was conducting. He memorized every single detail. Incredible!
